Not just Certified .... but, Qualified!
Join the Seasoned Wreck Dive Instructors, at the Academy of
Scuba, as you learn how to expand your limits in diving to include
wreck diving. In this course, you will learn basic and introductory
wreck diving techniques in San Diego’s World Famous Wreck Alley. Over
a two day period, you will be exposed to expert wreck diving
instruction and techniques. You will be doing four world famous wreck
dives over two days in Wreck Alley and have several hours of classroom
instruction from your Master Scuba Diver Trainers and Master
Instructors.
You will build a “concrete” foundation in deep and basic wreck diving.
At the end of the course, you may qualify for your SDI Wreck Diving
Specialty certification. Best of all, your dive education foundation
will be laid by the most progressive wreck divers in the business.
About Wreck Alley
Your SDI Wreck Diving course will be done in San Diego’s world famous
Wreck Alley. Wreck Alley affords us the ability to dive and learn
basic to advanced level wreck diving techniques in our back yard.
Wake up in the morning and spend the day learning the ropes from the
very best. Classroom sessions are done either at the Phoenix Scuba
Training Facility on Bell Road or at the conference center in Mission
Bay Marina. For your dives, you will be venturing off to the classic
wrecks like the Canadian Destroyer HMS Yukon (pictured to the right),
the Coast Guard Cutter Ruby E and the World War II Aircraft the P-38.
About Your Course
SDI Basic Wreck Diver Course: Wreck diving can be one of the most
exciting aspects of sport diving and can uncover pieces of history
seen by few others, however every effort must be made to maximize safe
diving techniques. In your SDI Wreck Diver course, we will discuss and
use equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving.
This course is taught as a NO-penetration course. Your dive staff
will teach you how to safely plan and execute wreck dives in a safe
and enjoyable way. Intermediate (limited penetration) and Advanced
Wreck Diver Courses available. Specialty Instructor Courses available
to ALL agency instructors. Call for details.
